Boyd Gaming signs a deal with Penn Entertainment!

According to the latest news from The US Update, Penn Entertainment signed its deal with ESPN last year through 2023. Taking this forward, Reuters reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the news, that casino operator Boyd Gaming Corp. has finalized a deal with Penn Entertainment Inc. for its acquisition.

Shares of Boyd Gaming (BYD) edged lower in the after-hours session after falling 2%. Shares of Penn Entertainment (PENN) edged 0.3% higher after rising 10% in the regular trading day.

Deal Between both of them

The US Update’s sources have told Reuters that it is almost certain that Penn Entertainment and Boyd Gaming will enter into negotiations for a deal. According to Boyd Gaming’s website, today, it operates 28 gaming entertainment properties in 11 states across the US.

Penn Entertainment offers retail, online gaming, and sports-betting entertainment. Last year, the company finalized a deal with ESPN. Its Barstool sportsbook was rebranded as ESPN Bet and sold its 100% stake in Barstool Sports.

It will be interesting to see what new entertainment Boyd Gaming and Penn Entertainment bring together for gaming fans.
